My Epson Workforce 1100 printer started showing me a notice that the ink pads are nearing the end of there service life.
Shortly it just stopped with the note that the end of there service life and the paper feed light and the ink light flash alternately

Now I found a listing for company that sells a reset key but I cannot make their website work.  However I did see that they listed a British company that has a waste ink recovery system to replace the ink pads.

I, having purchased 2 different CISS systems I am wondering if CISInks will be providing these systems for their customers.

I am in the middle, page 118 of 210, of a short story I need printed.

Hello, Thanks for your request. We're currently working with our supplier to see if there's an option that they can offer in terms of a waste ink tank. Once we receive an answer from them we will post an update here on our forum. Thanks for your request.

I know I'm a bit late on the reply here, years it looks like. This is epson's way of making you buy a new printer regardless if it still works or not. Had this happen with a printer at work the workforce 845. There is a software reset for this error that various companies supply for $10 or so. I will never buy an epson again due to this, when a company embeds this into printer firmware because they think it exceeded it page capacity they have lost my business. Plenty of other options out there

It's like an open desert in this forum, but I am replying to your reply today,  Cry

So there are ways for you to reset the ink pad once it gets full, but the only draw-back to this is, if you are able to successfully reset the ink pad, it still doesn't change the fact that there is ink near or full in the printer.

I had a customer who was successfully able to reset the ink pads, but his printer eventually LEAKED from the bottom of the base of the printer where the print-head sits and it just poured out. Even when it is full and you reset it, it still will leak eventually.

If you are staying away from Epson and will stick to other brands , DON'T BUY HP. If you think the Epson's are bad, the HP are worst in where they cut every corner to prevent people from using these third party cartridges.
