Just got my CISS for my hp c309g.  I'm having priming issues and read this procedure.  I haven't attempted it quite like this yet.  I was doing the same procedure  referenced here;

...however I was putting the air filters on after clearing the air instead of the plug.  I guess my question is--if I'm supposed to quickly put the plug in, at what point do I reattach the air filters?  I thought the air filters were necessary.

You plug the air filters in before you use it..or print.
All priming is doing is taking air out of the lines.

Hope that helped.
