Can anyone help me with my issue?  In the installation process I am at the screen that says cartridges are not recognized and asks me to replace replace them.  I click OK and the ink tray slides over to allow me to unseat and and re-seat the ink cartridges...after which I would press the reset button.   However, as soon as I unseat the ink cartridges I will get this error message on the screen, "Printer Error.  Turn power off and then on again.  For details, see your documentation or visit Epson.com."

The description said that this is compatible with xp-410 so I dont know why its not working.

First thing I would advise you to do is to once again try your EPSON cartridges and see if they give off a printer error also. Mostly likely the printer error would be due to the printhead getting nudged when the cartridges are removed and reseated as they are all connected to one another. After you have made sure that the printer does not get an error from EPSON cartridges, then it will most likely be the printhead getting nudge and will not nothing to do with the cartridges.

I was able to remove the CIS cartridges without getting the error by holding down the printhead very firmly as I unclipped and removed the ink.   After I removed it, I then re-seated and clicked the ink cartridges back into place and clicked "Start".   The printer then does a check but goes back to the screen that says, "Cannot recognize cartridge(s). Try installing them again."

What can I do now?  It's not going to the screen where it tells me I am using unofficial ink cartridges.

when it states the you are using unofficial ink cartridges, there should be an option in the message where you can proceed using the non genuine cartridges. If you do not have this option on your screen, please contact us support line during 9:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday. You can also email us so we can assist you better at sales@cisinks.com If you are not able to proceed we would most likely replace the chips that you have on your cartridges.

What's up with customer support?  CIS inks said they would send me a replacement chip but the tracking number they gave me seemed to be for someone else and the item was shipped to new orleans but I live in Texas.  I sent an email 5 days ago asking about that and got no response.  Of all the things I have ever ordered online, this has been the worse experience yet.  I've been going two months now without a working printer.

I tried the steps tons of time, tried everything I googled online. Stayed up til 5 in the morning trying to get this system to work.  I even tried it on my brothers xp-400.  I definitely have a bad chip.  Neither I nor my brother have updated our printers since we bought them.

I may just be that the printer head gets moved and nudge when the cartridge pop out. I would first suggest that you install EPSON cartridges and see if you get the same error message. If you do then the problem would be with the printer head which you would need to get serviced by EPSON. Now, if the EPSON cartridges does not give an error message you should be able to reinstall the CISS cartridges carefully and properly as indicated on the cartridges replacement instructions
