I purchased a CIS system for my MP610 last year.  It has six reservoirs (one of them stays empty).  My question is there are two blacks that are next to each other.  Which reservoir is for the black pigment?  They both say BK.   I'm assuming it's the one that is next to the empty container but want to be sure before I fill it.

Look at your cartridges and locate the big black cartridge.  Follow the ink lines to the reservoir associated with it.  That would be your pigment black.  Then you can mark the ink reservoir so you know that it is pigment black.  Hope this helps!
